i have a bronco 2 that i beat on.
didnt get much done today, got the other hanger off went to pig pins to get the axle maybe start to put stuff thogether tomorrow

what lift kit are you going with i have the sky jacker 8" on my 78 bronco. with dana 60 D-locker and a 44 with 38" tsl's

when everything is said and done i will have stock rear leaf springs(maybe) with sky manufacturing shackle flip witch = about 4 1/2 - 5" lift front will have cage suspension 6 1/2" coils..rear axle is a dana 70 welded with 4:88 and a dana 60 for the front

well over the weekend i got the shackle flip kit in, the springs back in, i just gotta lift the axle up and bolt it in place. i have pics but i need batteries for the cam

Looking good! Let me know if you need anything else welded or general help... The dif covers look awesome..much better on the forum then in the pictures you sent to my phone (screens too small to appreciate details). As to why the dana 70 is more prone to breakage then a corp14 bolt...My guess is that the 14 bolt pinion is riding on 3 bearings and is shorter which adds way more support and strength, like a ford 9. I have personally snapped dana pinions (smaller ones then yours) with ease. the added rigidity of that and the added spider gears (4 vs. 2) and that darn shaft that seems to get spun lose and smacks pinion on danas (which you dont care about anymore =p) is probably why people prefer the corp or call it 'more durable' ... and I want to know what kinda power you will be using also! with all that meat under it you should be able to use just about anything...heh

this is were im at if i get off my lazy butt i will put the axle in tomorrow had to take the bumper/receiver hitch off in order to get the shackles on. this thing has bolts every where spring all mounted up

got a few new picsto add axle installed went to cage offroad today and picked up a set of 6" springs for me and pigpin .
