And it starts............ my wife said I either have a car or a truck. She won't just let me have both, I tried to explain to her the logic of having the 4x4 and just letting it sit til when I need it like for snow and moving is a good reason to have a truck and the insurance is like 40 buck if that a month. I could pretty much donate plasma to cover it. But no she's not budging and I am not willing to let the car go. I was going to see if I do enough to the car if she'll forget about the truck....... not likely but I really don't like the idea of not having one...

Why not store it somewhere else so she doesnt see it? Out of sight out of mind theory.

I have taken her wheeling and I scared her with my flat bed ford I used to have. She just thinks we can't afford it and she doesn't want a "junker" even though half the drive train is new and besides the transfer is in good shape. I was trying to get a good body to drop every thing into but what ever. I managed to get her to drop it for now, I just better get a good job when I leave the military and thats come up before I know it.

Driving last night from my parents to her parents got a funny vibration besides the rear end going away then some loud noises and the truck stopped accelerating, dropped the rear driveline at the transfer in the middle of the road.

I think some thing in my 44 is about to give up the ghost. It's making some weird popping and growling sounds but I don't see any thing out of the ordinary from doing a visual. It would be nice to have a working jack right now...............

so when you did the rear disk swap did you change anything else in the braking system, i.e. master cyl, prop valve?

No not yet, ran out of time before I had to fly back down to cali. When I get back up their and I transfer the axles to another truck I'll find the residual check valve and remove it because it keeps 7 psi in the line in the rear, disks run 1 to 3 psi and you get that from just gravity and I have a adjustable prop valve to put inline on the rear circuit. I can deffinetly feel the rear grab alot more now and need to limit it a little. Overall I haven't had too much problems driving it the way it was on snow but I'm not going to push my luck with a hard braking situation.
