Have a race on Friday, but have encountered two problems. One being the bolts on the steering wheel keep backing out. Its "race" style of wheel, the smaller round one, and it has little bolts holding the top piece down to the second, and after every race I have to tighten them back up: any ideas on this? Second, I think I have lost my power steering; not sure if its the pump, no fluid, or just realy fully of mud. Set the sprinkler under the truck to wash off the bottom side and will take a look tonight for leaks or cracks or maybe just no fluid left.

HA HA thanks guys lol. I did get a new hood since I bent mine so bad that it doesnt like to stay closed completely (unless i jump on it). So gonna clean it, paint it black, and then do some pink flames down it. Maybe get another hood and throw the Poorboy emblem on, you know, a spare hood lol.
And I have added the videos that I got onto YouTube. My user name is 76chevygirl so just look for that and you'll find the Willamina Mud Drag videos. ;D

So got home, took the grill off, hit the hood latch with an axe (couldnt find a hammer), got the hood open, and climbed into the engine compartment. Found the problem; both belts had jumped off. One was wrapped around the fan, the other was caught on a pulley. Amazing it is still running, would've thought the alternator would be dead. Will post pics of the belts tomorrow, home computer doesn't like to do that. lol. but power steering pump is fine, full of fluid. just gotta buy new belts, lol.
