At Willamina Mud Drags on June 27th the driver's side door wouldn't open after Ashley started running Powder Puff class, so she just stayed in the truck until it was on the trailer. When we got home and looked at it, the fender had come loose and slid back and blocked the door from opening. Also where the hinges mount onto the door had cracked. I took the door off tonight and this is what it looked like, upper hinge and lower hinge pictured.

Now she wants to do half doors or tube doors like Jason has on his truck. Pictures are after removing the busted door, and after installing the new door. Donor door from the CUCV truck I had bought and used the frame for the Farm Truck.

When we got back from Sand Lake, Charlie decided to investigate the low oil pressure reading on the gauge. Replaced the gauge, no improvement... Took apart the bottom end, and at least 4 spun rod bearings and a blue crank shaft later, we have a 350 to stuff in so that we race next weekend at Newport...

It kind is... Dad and Charlie only had to undo like 8 bolts to take it off. The rest are rusted off or busted off.

Nobody is more disappointed than I am, but also pretty impressed that it ran as good as it did dispite the issues. The motor should have been knocking too but with the exhaust I have on it, maybe it just covered it up like the way the Farm Truck had been lol. I threw a few more photos of the project on my Facebook page, it was easier to load on there with my Blackberry lol. They got the 2nd motor out and tore down part way, then got the 3rd block set in and lightly bolted to the transmission. Had a few friends stop by to see Dad and Charlie, so they got to visit and also got some help in the process. One of my friends gave us a deep oil pan in return for giving him the fly wheel off the 2nd motor so he can put his daily driver back together.

They got the heads and almost all of the little things done last night. I think we will attempt to fire it up tonight... Wish us luck...

Dad and Charlie didn't work on it last night, was too hot to safely do anything. Dad is coming up today and they will work on it. Only have two nights left to work on it, but they are pretty confident that it will run. It won't be as tip-top running as the previous two motors, but oh well, it will get me thru a race. Maybe I can run stock this time instead of Super Stock (also known as Road & Trail). Yeah, we put that motor in sometime during May after taxes came back because the stall converter went in at the same time.

Got it to run for a few minutes last night, it was 9 PM so they didn't run it long. Charlie and Dad will finish it up when we all get to the house, load up and head out. Will have videos and photos to post after the weekend.
