did you weld up the new rear axle? No, we didn't. The truck is strictly for mud racing and playing around in fields, it will never go near anything else. Besides, I want to see what I break this year before I change too much else.

can only finance one part at a time, lol, will figure it out at the end of this season unless something comes up that I can't walk away from. when you put "pos" i almost got mad because i thought you meant P.O.S. not a posi - lol put the one extra letter in there!

humm imo i would at least weld up the rear diff, like you said its only for mud drags and playing in the mud, at most its going to cost you a few bucks in welding rod, and it would take a lot more power to break a rear axle on the 14 bolt you have out back now. but it up to you, more tration with the rear welded.

As long as my doc appointment on Thursday goes well, I will be driving the race truck Saturday at a friend's place for a practice run. If I don't get released, then Charlie can drive it and help me decide if we want to weld it up or not. It's easier to weld it later, then regret the weld and replace stuff lol.

So Charlie was putting the fitting into the trans for the trans cooler line, and it CRACKED! Its just the area where the threads go into. It was dark already, so he stopped working on it for the night. Him and a friend are gonna work on it tomorrow, finish it all up, then see if the crack will cause any leaks or not. Let's hope not, I don't want to see a trans replacement two weeks before my race especially when I didn't get released to do anything.

Yes it is Pat, and Charlie is the one who painted it. lol. He got the front all straight and taken care of, and he welded up the rear end last night. He has to reassemble it tonight because everything was too hot to work on after welding. The transmission held up fine for the test run last weekend, and we have a spare radiator in case the one in the truck decides to crack and leak. Now we wait for race day.

That first run at Sheridan I went against my good friend Maranda in the Pink Scout. I hit the gas and I felt that front end come up, first time I have ever felt that happen in the race truck. I got a few pix to show coming off the line and sitting on level ground.
