Ok I looked into this a lil and I cant find anywhere they are changing hoses but were changing hydrolic components for possible failure. "I would personally take back to the shop that did your last service" hopefully it was a jeep deeler. Alot of people dont like dealers but It is a sure way to keep the factory warranty applied and to keep the finger pointing down. By going to a dealer and only 1 dealer they will have every record of all services and that helps you point the finger at them. Only time I have ever had an issue with a dealer is when they claim brakes or tires are worn and then usually I take care of them or a lilttle questioning of their brake gauge and compairison to new brakes solves the false claims of work needed.

they didn't let me drive it off the lot.... and they showed me today some of the rubber pices... all swollen.... there are steal lines that r just going to be flushed.... i do know the guy doing it,, and trust him,,,, i'm asking for the parts back as well..... he said that they could tell by when they took the cap off and seen the rubber pice expanded 2x it's norm..... and with petroleum products in the system it corrodes all the rubber parts from the cyl. to the calipers...... also getting new rotors. rear brakes/align.ment........and a good chunk of it is labor...

well they probly aint pullin your leg if they didnt let you go and yes the rubber gasket under the cap is usually first to go. still never had issues with the lines before. I guess they dont build em as tuff as they use to.

Sorry about your brakes, I am glad nothing bad happened to you or your family though. Getting back to the mud run....
I will be on Channel 10 CB, anyone that doesn't have a CB that is planning on going can PM me and I will give you my cell phone number. I would like to get every poorboy out there together (after a little playing) to get some pictures to post. Plus show those other "sand spitters" its OK to get dirty :-).. Just kidding, but I would like to get some pictures of all of us together.

Well heres the cap with the rubber pice thats supposed to fit into it.....or at least snugly... took the parts by the dealers and they looked it over and said basicly the same thing..... though there cost would have been about $300 higher..... here's a sample from the brake cylinder..anyone see something wrong? the front brake lines were letting fluid in but not releasing any when i let off the brakes, making it possible to lock Or no brkes at all...... from what i was told from the dealer... that final bill was $1050.... thats with NEW Front & Rear brakes pads, NEW Rotor and Drums and an alignment....
