If you look in off topic i posted pics of all the jeeps i have owned, well one was stolein from me and my ex. The guy that stole my jeep lives in St. Helens and Im really tempted to stop by and park my truck on his car...I would like to kick his ass because he got away with it because the cops wouldnt do anything.

I went to St Helens last year. For those of you that are going, expect body damage. If you get out of there without a scratch, you're lucky. On the St Helens website it states no alcohol, but that isn't even close to being enforced. I would only go if I had something where body damage was not a concern. Just a headsup...

Wow I had not heard anything about getting body damage. Why? to many rigs in to tight of space, or drunks?
Thanks

Damage from trucks sliding around into other trucks, people standing nearby, bikes, and quads. Last year Life-Flight had to be called in for one guy who got hit on his bike. And I followed an ambulance up to it, I'd guess it took the ambulance more than 45 minutes to get to the front gate where the injured person was due to so many rigs in a very tight spot. My body damage came from being pulled out with an excavator. A strap was wrapped around my hitch and then the bucket, then the rear end of my truck was lifted completely off the ground bending the rear bumper. I was drug a good 200 feet when a simple 20 foot pull would've done just fine. Charlie

well from those notes about damage.... i think i might be changing my mind... and head out to the S.Lake....... don't need any body damage.... Today i took the liberty in to have the front brakes and alignment done... and upon there inspection for a quote.... They found that some how something like power steering fluid got put into my break fluid reservoir..... Now they have to replace all rubber pices, through out my whole break system!!! and clean the metal tubes with alcohol...... ($1000+ for all that and the new brakes/alignment) so basically, everything will be brand new..... Cost is a hell of a lot better then going to the dealers to have it done...... I just wanna know how it got there......... and YES! i know what goes where....and i didn't do it, my last service was lower ball joint at the dealer a week ago.....

seems really spendy to me too... I don't wanna pay it...but with the baby and wife driving as a DD... they gotta be safe.... i'm not taking any chances there....(les schwab is doing it) though it will never see a dealer/service place with out me standing around watching...

who said it needs changed? les schwabs? did you get a second opinion? If you are gonna have them do it I would ask for all my old parts they take off back. Since only a dealer has worked on it I would file for warranty. How do they know its power steering fluid? By color? Did they test it? If it is so dangerous why did they let you leave? How come Jeep puts on rubber brake hoses that are that weak? Only the hoses need cleaned? All the valves and calipers are ok? Oh man would I be asking alot of questions if it were me.
To be honest I have never had anybody I know need the system flushed like that. Maybe the master cylinder and proportioning valve(possibly abs valve)?
I'm not saying what they told you is true or not but I would check into it a lil deeper especially since you know for a fact that you yourself has never mixed the fluids..
