Do certain used yota parts contain gold internals? Or do they produce unlimited amounts of crude oil?
Ive never seen prices fluctuate so much... one guy could have his used g52 and tcase listed for 175, then the next ad down is listed for 550 lol... same with axles. Have toyota parts always been like this?
My favorite ones are the stock shortbed ifs trucks with 200k where the owner "knows what hes got" and its worth 4-5k firm lol...
Yea im just bitching about it hah ive never been too lucky/good at finding deals, Had to vent my frustrations.

Ya they have been Toyota stuff is pretty good usually. But it's just who you buy it from depends on the price usually in town prices are outrageous. Like I paid 150$ for my w56 ran it for to years. Then bought another because mine got roasted and I bought another one for 300$ in portland

Just be careful that you get one with good syncros. I went through a few of them, before getting a good one.
I still have a trans and case you can have but I was never able to identify what it came out of. It looks early, it has a non removable range box on the transfer case. also missing shifters and bell housing

yea... saying that im a yota "guy" im not your typical yota owner.... my stuff aint gold lol... its stupid.
post up some pictures of your transmission and t case im part of a bigger Toyota community that can usually figure out what what. (marlincrawler)
These transmissions are, stupid complex. comparably to say the T5 or any pre 80s transmission.... so many shift rails, counter shafts... geez.. ive been in them before but unless i know exactly whats wrong with em i wouldn't even open it up and expect it to go back together lol.... some of those internal bearings are more than a good used transmission...

Gees, I'll stick to my Ranger, $175 tranny rebuild and it was a piece of cake... same with the Tracker... my friend that put new synchros in his yota doesn't like how the new ones shift...

prices have jumped stupid high in the last few years it seems. there are still good deals if ur willing to drive north of centrailia but down here prices are stupid expensive. shoulda been looking a year ago i use to stockpile parts. had 2 w56 transmissions and 1 was rebuilt with like 200 miles on it. sold each for a 100. I'll see what I can find. I'm going up to the swap meet this weekend if I find one for cheap I'll grab it and bring if back. even if you don't want if i'll have a spare haha
