First is my new compressor:
Was just about to spend $350 on the Harbor Freight equivalent and found this on Craigslist for $200 ($600 new price at Lowes) in almost new condition. I have it in the shed built onto the side of the garage, the hose you see going down to the right goes to the outside of the wall and onto the hose reel, reaches almost all the way down both sides of the driveway, the other hose will soon go through the wall into the garage for when I want air in the garage without opening the big door. The shed is a wall away from my office and when it's running I can just hear it, I love belt drive... and from 0 to 140psi takes under 10 minutes so it cycles fast, 5.3scfm at 90psi, not too bad. I didn't want it sitting on the gravel floor so I made that makeshift pallet stand thing, makes it easier to drain too.
Next, the tires on my Tracker were SHOT, spent a long time planning and looking around for a good deal on a decent tire (they're friggin expensive right now!) and I liked the Firestone Destination A/T's the best for the price, and I lucked out pretty good on the price as after the mail in $70 mastercard it'll be $507 where most other places were over $600... Anyway, it looks less girly now with some real shoes...
As opposed to:
I went from 205 75 15 car tires to 225 75 15 AT's, I've heard that 235's rub a bit and didn't want that on a DD, so far I have only driven maybe 5 miles but they are a better match to the gearing as first gear is easier to start from a stop smoothly (has 5.13's), steering is a little harder but not a problem (power steering by armstrong), and the brakes are a little lacking which I'll probably want to look into.
