I have used them before. They are pretty sweet. We mainly use them for riding quads down at sandlake.

I have the Go Pro's competiter called the "Drift HD". It is suppose to be better then the Go Pro. But I'm not so sure, I've seen alot of video's from the Go Pro, and like them, My video's are not that good. pointofviewcameras.com/drift-hd-camera.htmlOne of the best things about the Drift is the remote button for turning the video off and on again (Go Pro doesn't have it). Another advantage is the display, you can see what you've shot, or what you are shooting. The Slow motion filming is also cool. Some of my video's from the Drift HD are posted here. www.youtube.com/user/rustyr01?feature=mhum

I picked up a GoPro Hero for work last summer. I ended up getting the LCD screen for it so I knew exactly what I was filming. Not a bad camera.

The sound on mine is crappy but it is because I keep it in teh waterproof case. They make different covers for it.

i think im gonna price one out with the waterproof case. *come on tax return!* I think If I were to do it again, I'd get a Go Pro, but I'm not 100% sure. It all depends on what you want to do with it. For Truck's the remote on and off (on the Drift) is really nice. Lots of mounting options and the remote works fine from 15-20 feet away so you can mount it anyware on the truck and still have it stop and start the recordings. Most people with the Go Pro start the video and then drive until the battery dies. With the Drift every stop and start of the camera is a new chapter so it is easy to get off and post online without editing much. The Audio on the "Drift" is suppose to be great, but I've found it sounds different then in real life when mounted on some of my quads, and it sounds fine when mounted on the helmets. Looking at the video, I think the Go Pro has a cleaner video then the drift. Comparing them side by side, the video on the drift seems darker.

I'm pretty sure that the go pro's come with all the cases, but the led screen is separate. At least the go pro 1's did.
