While driving my speedo and odometer dont work, the truck also shifts horrible. When I lightly apply the brake everything works but my dome light comes on. Before I dig into it does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank You, Kevin

Check your fuses for the speedo/shifting problem. Can't remember the number but I think it's to the right and runs vertical. Blew it in my 92 gasser and it will time to time shake loose in my 93 diesel. Dome light dunno.

Last time my speedo stopped working it was the abs sensor on top of the rear diff. It also is the speedometer pick up and your trans won't shift right without it. I would check that and the abs under the hood.

I have a 1997 F350 Diesel and it would stall then start back up like a hiccup once in a while. last year on the way to SB it started this about every 5 miles then it stalled completely, I put the truck in neutral and it started back up. Every time it did this my speedo and tack would drop to zero. It ended up being the cam position sensor on the front of the engine block. The replaced sensor is giving me a problem again, so now I buy two, so I have a spare. Hope this helps.

When you say odometer doesn't work do you mean it flat out doesn't come on or it doesn't change? If it displays nothing like the key off its the fuse or that circuit it's on if it displays but doesn't change mileage check the above mentioned vss in the rear end and check the circuit. And it probably a little late but my step dad is going to sell or part his solid green f150.

The speedo doesnt work at all and either does the odometer, unless my foot is on the brake. The transmission seems to shift fine when my foot is resting on the brake also. I think everything is working fine but is getting grounded out on something.

Think your stuck digging into it now. Haven't looked at a diagram so I'm unsure of how the brake light switch ties in if it's even supposed to, neither of my trucks have the third brake light in the cargo light. If it's supposed to be in the circuit that could be the reason.
