Back down to 315's. Went to repair two broken bolts in the diff cover. Must of lost a pinion bearing at some point. Front axle u-joints were little done. Did all new wheel bearings, u-joints. Followed up recently with all new steering linkage. Lost the rad, two leaks in the core and split the upper tank. Replaced with a aluminum unit. Didn't ask for a polished one. Went to group 31's. Converted the back doors to electric and going tan interior. Got a little bit done to a truck that was headed to scrap.

You've been busy! I've just done wheel bearings on my Ranger and pulled the transmission out of the Tracker, the rest of my labor has been around the house... heck, the tags on the tank are about to expire and I keep forgetting about it...

Picked these up to go with the front dana 60 dually hubs. Been trying to sell the stroke to stay idi but can't get rid of it. Ended up picking up another superduty turbo minus the pedestal week or so ago, got the pedestal for $20 today. Picking up the spider for another $20 next month. Probably just going to run the stroke with the superduty turbo and cac for the time being.

Yeah, I understand, I have 3 vehicles in my name and right now my F350 is the only one that doesn't need major work of some form or another , took out the Ranger on Sunday snow wheelin by Britenbush lake and bent the front axle and some other things... darn log... If I was further along with my garage I'd ponder your stroke parts... but I'm pretty buried in projects and the garage isn't assembled yet...

Yeah, posted on yours, really thrashed it huh? Got the opportunity to drive a stock 94.5 crew 5spd, not sure I like how it pulls. Felt really lazy all the way up to around 2,000 before it started pulling. Used to spooling by 1500 so it was a little different to drive. Superduty turbine housing is a little smaller physically but also has a smaller turbine so not sure if it'll be a big difference, but guess I'll possibly find out. Kinda starting to look for 16" dually wheels if you come across any cheap. Wanting to go 4x4 crew cab dually on 315's.

Yeah, the stroke is pretty gutless until 2000 then has a bunch of power through about 3200 (that's what the tach says anyway) when the governor kicks in. I'm sticking with 315's because that puts it at 2000rpm at 60mph so it will hold well, fuel mileage drops a lot above 2000rpm...

Same with the IDI for fuel consumption. Speedo is about 5mph off at speed with 315's, so I usually try to run at 1900rpm which puts me just under 60mph actual to try to save fuel. Mostly do city driving from West Salem to Brooks, have managed 18ish empty but lately it's been worse. The cold snap the other week really brought out some air intrusion issues. Probably pulling apart my filter head this weekend to re-seal it. *run 55 on speedo to run 60 ish actual

I never realized the heater components were after the filter element and right before the pump. Seams like bad stuff could happen with a failure. Good you caught it.

Yeah, wasn't thrilled to see that. Have another filter head on the shelf from surplus. Still collecting some other parts before ditching the factory filter head.

Set the SD turbo on for now, have to source some new pedestal mounting bolts. Didn't do a side by side comparison before now, SD pedestal is thicker ebpv solenoid is in a different location etc. And I haven't made up my mind wether to gut the ebpv or not, just re-sealed the cap and removed any polished areas out of the bore with a soft scuff pad to try to prevent leaks with out having to buy a new plunger. Have 3" plenums coming to complete the SD swap, little concerned about clearance to that fuel line. Comparison pics between the 2" and 3" look pretty dramatic.
