do you want/need larger propane tanks so you can go longer between fillups? We've got three new 5 gallon tanks. It looks like it had the bigge tanks on the front. A lot of washers on the center post to hold the cross bracket down on the 5 gallon tanks that sit on the front of the trailer.

how the jeep do on gas towing that trailer? Surprisingly only lost about 1-2mpg from the normal 12-14mpg on the 10% ethonal. I get around 20mpg once we get out of the northwests ethonal fuel.

Ok...did some checking and found out we have the 20lb propane tanks(18" tall and not called 5 gallon) and I believe I can fit the 40lb tanks(29.4" tall) on the trailer as long as they have the overfill protection device valves, which is recognizable by the triangular hand wheel at the top of the valve itself.

Our trailer is staying warm, I thought it would be colder inside then what it has been. We stayed Sunday and Monday night in the apartment and went and checked the trailer today. Got some ice cycles off the sides that are getting thick, but everything is looking good. Don't think I'll be scared to live in it.
We are looking for a new furnace for it though. the pilot light blows out during cool down, has leaks in the fire chamber. We only use it to really warm it up in a hurry. We have a small 110v heater and a tent heater keeping it warm right now.

Going to be interesting to see how much the trailer weights now that all our stuff is in it now. I'm figuring just under 6k. Will weight it at the scales on Hwy 26 next Tuesday when we head out. Got a new break-away switch put on, guess it's an Oregon law, but also a good safety device.

I have an old trailer "well an 89 that leaks and rotted" I could rob some parts off before making it a flatbed. I will see what I can do about removing the furnace in one piece. This has been on the back burner for a while.

I didn't notice this was last year, do you still need parts? I could still use a furnace, we have a portable propane heater we are using right now that is working ok. We are leaving Tuesday morning April 19th for Roseburg.

Hehehe... 6800 lbs? That's all? Sounds like the Bronco with a full tank.

One good thing happened over the winter, Got a new fuel efficient furnance installed to the tune of around $1500. Worked great and has no pilot light that is always burning propane.
