Best of luck to ya man! I went through the hit n run thing a couple years ago and i could not find who hit my car. The good thing was that my insurance did cover me.....2200 bucks worth. I hope your situation turns out in your favor.

So far everything looks good for me. I talked to the Deputy DA today and told him since I've done all the leg work at catching this kid, that I'm going to go all the way with everything. He said that the reason he probably preaded "Not Guilty" on October 21st 2009 is to buy some more time so they could nagotiate teams with me before the trial on January 6, 2010 and try to settle out of court.

Stick it to 'em Ken! He's pleeding not guilty because he gets a tax payer funded lawyer sleeze that may beable to get off on a technicality or hope that you will just give up.

Oh...I won't give up, or take any less then what I'm asking. Should put in the request that he pays back the cost he has put on the tax payers too ...and then tell him "By the way, Welcome to United States, nothing is a free ride here"

Went to court today and the Defense Attorney asked to reschedule and the Judge granted it. The Deputy DA said I could ask for anything I want as restitution. Right now I'm only asking for the $2085.37 which is the damages to my Suburban. The Deputy DA said I could ask for something like pain and suffering or inconvienance, and/or have him do something like community service. He said they may try to settle out of court, in that case they have to pay me everything I ask for right then, if it goes to court, then they could be told to pay me something like $25 a month til it's paid off.
So I've been thinking about asking for aditional money...for Not being able to use the Suburban for shows and the time it has taken to get the money to get it fixxed. And was thinking about making him take an anger management class or some kind of drivers education class.
So any ideas you guys have, post them up for me ...thanks.
