I saw that truck and told Charlie: "Can we do that to the race truck???" I have no idea what that thing had for an engine. I missed the good run; he came from the other direction and went up the bowl - on just the back two wheels. Then when he got to the top, it jumped, and caught some serious air, then landed on all 4's. Obviously he's got paddles on the back, but still pretty awesome. Can you heard the truck running as it goes by? LOL yes the Honda stayed on all 4's... Well kinda... Hehehe, I got flex, a little bit:

If that is the truck I am thinking about, he is from around here. It has a twin turbo charged bick block and has coilover suspension. That thing has over 1000 hp might even be closer to 1500, not sure tho. He is friends with a couple of my buddies. Found a link to the builders, I was right. It has 12oo+ HP On E85. www.englishracing.net/

That truck in the video was about as fast as anything I have ever seen at Sand Lake.. AWSOME !!!
Made my heart race just watching the video.. I would have loved to have been around it when it went by. ( all 2 seconds of it) WOW.

speed limit on dune? when you begin to fly you are no longer on the dune and can go as fast as you want.

25 on the beach. 55 anywhere else. Believe it or not you can do 55 legally right outside of pavement. All racing is now illegal.

they use the "safe speed" rule alot. You can go 40 on the flats and get a ticket if they think it was unsafe at the time. We watched them from the parking lot one day nail one person after another for flying across the flats. We talked to one of the victims and they said it the cops said "too fast for the conditions because other vehicles were around".
But definitely not over 25 on the beach.
