49's would look cool but the cost and usablilty are not much... which will you use it more as a mud bogger or trails?? and if you lower it a little you can still mud bogg it...

i'd like to take it on some trails. i just sat and realized that .... i can't climb steep hills without the possability of popping a wheelie and rolling backwards. i just dont know if i can even afford to lower it.... maybe someone has a smaller lift they'd trade me -daniel

If you want to wheel it on trials, you are way too tall. You won't fit on most of them in the PNW.
It may be cheaper for you to build a wheeler than to go through all the work to lower your rig.
I was going to go really tall too, but then realized that my rig would be worthless for what I wanted to do. So here is what I settled on;
6" front soft ride lift springs w/ 1" add a leaf and extended shackles
4" rear shackle flip w/ 2" lift springs and 1" add a leaf offset 1" to the rear.
That will net me approx. 7.5" of lift. I will be running 39.5x16.50x17 Pitbull Rockers on 17x10 wheels. I will have to do some fender trimming, but nothing too much. I will be a bit wide, but still low enough to fit most of what I like to run.
Gonna need to fab up the sliders so I can slide over what I don't fit through. Lol.

you bought the wrong truck for a wheeler. leave it big and run bogs. you will probly drive it on the street more than offroad anyway. if you wanna run trails then definitly a bit tall for most trails. could get you on a few but dont know how fun it would be.

yah that's what I was thinking. Ok i'll just buy a trail truck. What should I be looking for? Toyota or same truck as mine but no lift and a 350.... i'd like to stick by 4 cylinder because i'd like to commute to go riding with you guys. maybe something not street legal and I can just haul it around with this truck.

the smaller rigs do great on the trail but there is nothing like the power of a bigger rig unless you throw a 350 in a toy like i am going to do the my toy some day down the road...

I dont know if your still lookin, but if you check out ebay you can buy a hd, jeep where someone else dumped the money into it, for pennies on the dollar. They have a good selection of both street legal, and non legal. I dont know, give it a shot.

I dont care about street legal I can just tow the damn thing ok i'll check ebay and whatnot. I'll probably end up putting 49's on this truck first...and finishing this truck up. Then i'll go out and get a second trail rig. Probably a jeep with a small block v-8.
