I wanted to have it there this year, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. With my wifes work schedule and mine, and possibly having to replace the transmission in my daily driver it will be tough to get everything done. Still have a decent list of things to do to get it to the point of being able to be move and I don't want to take the chance and shortcut anything.

Yeah it looks like it. May look into getting a sand toy before for something else to play with, especially with the odd shifting the transmission is doing. But more then likely it'll just be the black truck. I'm going to keep working on it like it will be there, it might be close but we'll see.

Did a little more work on the cage today before the rain set in. The rear hoop has been done for a couple of weeks, got the driver side door tube bent, just need to notch it and it should be good. But....if I want to make it to Summer Bash I'm going to put the cage build on hold and work on the other stuff on the list. I will build the cage after, I don't plan on doing anything crazy since it will be the shake down so it shouldn't be needed. Put the radiator support and front fenders back on. Fenders are going to have to be trimmed a decent bit on the front, and the core support will probably have to also since the tires only have about 3"-4" uptravel before hitting. Passenger... Driver... Passenger before trimming just enough to fit... Fenders mounted... Trimmed just enough to fit on the front... Rear of the fender won't need much... What I plan on taking out of the core support, about 6" on each side... It is outgrowing the garage pretty fast now. Before... Now...

List still to do: Strap stock fuel tank in back Change transmission pan and fill with fluid Plumbing (brakes and fuel) Measure for and install shocks Steering Drive lines
Any opinions on where to get the drive lines from? Since I will be changing out the transfer case when I put a doubler in, so unless the transfer case yokes can be easily swapped, don't want to get too expensive ones. The NP208 has either 1310 or 1330 ujoints, the axles now have 1410. When I put the NP205 in it will probably have 1410's or at least 1350 if it doesn't get CV's on both sides.

Since you are going to be changing things the cheapest in my opinion would be to find some cheap d/l that are too long and cut them down too the length you need yourself or take them to a shop.

I do have the d/l's from the Ramcharger that I pulled all the parts from, but the rear would have to be re-tubed since it was bent when they picked it up with the forklift. Only problem with getting another from there would be finding one that has 1410 yoke on one side and 1310/30 on the other.

Think I have the front shaft figured out, going to order a 1410 yoke for a 2" tube from www.northerndrivetrain.com/ then cut apart the stock shaft and build a square tube front shaft. The rear I'll probably get made, or see if I can use some of the rear donor shaft and rebuild it. I know some have issues with the square fronts, but this is just till I put a doubler in, I'll get a better d/l for front and rear then. Just ordered my steering arms, and getting my order together for brakelines and fuel system. Also yesterday filled the transmission with fluid and changed the oil in the engine. Hooked up the computer and a battery and checked if it still turned over. Engine turned over, and fired for a second on starting fluid. Didn't want to run too long with only manifolds and no radiator. But it hadn't been fired in over 3 years!! With less then a month to go, I can say without a doubt it won't make it to SB again this year Now if I had another month it would, but the list is just a little too long to get it all done. I should be ready for a birthday test and tune at the end of September though.

Haven't had much time to work on it between SB, then going on vacation and then out of state training for work. I have got some work done on it though. Installed a new "factory" power steering pump with an external reservoir, still need to order a reservoir for it. Bought a new steering box and drilled and tapped it for hydro assist. Also got and installed some high steer arms off pirate also heims and hardware from Ruffstuff to finish off the steering. Trying to decide if I want to put the tie rod in the stock location, or move up to the top of the arms. Need to check clearances to see if it will fit in the lower position, I have 1.5"x .25" DOM that will be used for it, but it might hit the diff cover. With it in the lower position it'll be easier to mount a ram off the axle tube instead of the diff cover.
