Just picked this toy up. '73 Dodge, short bed regular cab, 318, NP435, NP205. Been converted over to a 3/4 ton so D44, D60, 4.10's, the idiot welded the front and rear. I'm not too worried about the D60, it's the 44, but I assume if my buddies truck has held up, what the hell. 35in BFG M/T's. 80% tread. Suspension is I believe 3-4 inches. The rear has 63" Chevy leafs. Gets 40 inches of travel ;D No bed, he already got rid of it 'cause he was gonna tube the back but ran out of money. Has bucket seats with air ride lol. Motor has Edelbrock aluminium intake, 750 Weber, headers and purple horny glass packs (which will be leaving cause I hate glass packs) Tempting to paint an 01 on the side........... Well once I get some money flowin', I'm gonna put some new Warn Premiums on it, fix the front "locker", and get a bed. Heres a shot of the rear suspension setup. I'm not sure what to call it. 3/4 Elliptical maybe? IDK Drawing of it:

Also known as a 3/4 Elliptical. Why? Please explain, because I get bashed on every site I go to, and it's getting quite old, and I have yet to get a reason.............. I don't get any axle wrap what so ever on it. This helps

Also known as a 3/4 Elliptical. nope 3/4 elliptcal has mutiple leafs in it and it goes to the Axle not to the shackle. i had buggie on my 1st toyota and it killed 63" springs so went to 56" ones and it worked better

I don't think you are getting bashed about the setup, I think most people are unaware of setups like that. It looks like it flexes quite well and with the track bar it looks like everything will be fine. Look forward to seeing more progress, keep us updated.

I've seen those set ups before. I havent seen quite that long of a "buggy" spring though. I like how they have the ubolt to teather it while on the road it looks like?
I was at one time going to run that set up on the front of mine.
I would have gone a little shorter and a little thicker on the buggy spring but as long as it works, it was probly what they had laying around so its what got used.
