Been having sone electrical problems. Couple days ago, dash lights went out, but if you turn on the interior lights, they come on. Figured it out, that it was the headlight switch, and replaced it. The radio has been fading in and out, thought it was just the radio or wiring to the radio. It works fine for a while. While putting in the headlight switch, was moving wires and radio started cutting out. I narrowed it down to the ignition switch and will be picking up a new one today. I'll have to drop down the steering column to replace it. I'm wondering if these things going out are from when the jeep got struck by lightening last year?

Got the ignition switch in, everything is working good again, jeep even feels like it's running better. Now I just need to get the cat welded back in and get a complete front axle.

Oh ya.. forgot to mention, got the cat welded back on. Muffler shop said due to federal regulations, they aren't suppose to weld on taken off cats. FYI

Been having a slight wobble or so called death shake starting in the steering wheel the last couple of weeks. With us getting ready to move down to our camp site in a couple of weeks, I dicided I better figure it out before it becomes a BIG problem. I know the ball joints have a slight bit of wear, but aren't too big of problem right now, and the front axle is slightly bent from all the jumping years ago. Going to replace the front axle one of these days, but was hoping it would hold out for a while. So I had Renee do a "dry park" shake of the steering wheel while I looked at the suspension for loose or worn parts. The frame on the drivers side was creeking and I noticed the trackbar on the drivers side was moving. Come to find out, the gear box upper bolt wasn't tight and neither was the nut on the trackbar. Tightened them all up, should take care of the problem. Will test drive it Monday when we go into town to do some shopping. This should be some good info for someone having similar problems, doesn't take much for something to feel like a BIG problem, specially on jeeps.

Wow, been over a year since I posted anything about this rig. Still need to get around to putting the front receiver on. Was going to do it this month when we were down in Roseburg, but things changed.

UPDATE...been awhile, but still alive and kickin'. Got NEW polyurethane bushings put on the front control arms last month, improved handling, but still need other work done. Might be doing the ball joints and shocks here soon.
