Looks like a quick and easy fix Not really. #2 and #4 I can cut the flooring up, but #3 (the middle one) would be cutting into the seat support. Plus it would look like cr@p..

let me know rusty i could give ya a hand with it if ya want your flux core welder will work just fine. Thanks. I just hate the idea of cutting a hole in the floor boards of the jeep. What a stupid design. They could have made the nuts better, or had a way to get to them if needed. I am seriously considering welding a plate from the body to the frame tabs for those three bolts. It would be easier and no one would see. Plus they would never come loose again and I could always cut them out if I didn’t like the extra vibration (if I even felt it). Does anyone know if it will hurt to have those three welded with plate and if I just left the others alone?

Thanks for the offers guys. I went ahead and welded plates from the frame mounts to the body. I will test is out this weekend and see how it does. If I don't like it for some reason it is easy to remove.. I think it is better then cutting holes in my tub.

Welding the tub to the frame might RIP holes in the tub.

Welding the tub to the frame might RIP holes in the tub. Thanks for the thought. It's got a bigger surface area welded the that little nut in the sub frame. I would think the bolt and nut would have pulled though before the weld would rip the sub frame area, but it did have flex with the rubber in it. It is welded on 3 sides and the plate is 2" wide, so that gives it 6" of welded surface. I'll keep an eye on it though.

I hope it does well. Good luck, Buddy.

Still can't believe you think welding a plate between the body and frame is better than getting to the actual body mount nut, hope it works good for ya.

Welding the tub to the frame might RIP holes in the tub. I was kind of thinking the same thing, most likely it will start cracking along the welds where the sheetmetal got heated during welding. I am not saying it won't work but with frame flex and other body bushings able to move slightly it just seams like it will eventually do something. Hope it works though.

I am with them rust think you would have been better off cutting holes in the tub as long as you painted it you would never know the difference

I am with them rust think you would have been better off cutting holes in the tub as long as you painted it you would never know the difference x2, The other mounts being able to move is going to cause alot of stress on the mount that is welded.
