robert had a 39.5 swamper on a 6 lug wheel. I tried it on the right front. It fit prity good. When I flexed it it tucked prity tight inside the fender well. I think it would be easy to make some fit. I want to put on 39.5-14.5-15 IROKS after high steer and dirty thirtys I believe that is what is on Monster Suburban...been thinking about selling it.

Gen 2 pick-ups and 4-runners have the same gas tank. On the 4-runners they lower it about 2 inches, to gove more foot room in the back seat. That makes it stick down way more than the frame. I have a 3 inch body lift on my 4-runner. Today I modafied the mounts and raised it 2 inches, so that I will not drag it as much. The tank and skid plate were caved in prity bad. I had a tank from a 4-runner parts rig, sitting on the shelf. So I put the good tank on and pounded out the skid plate. (the skid plate was missing on the parts rig when I got it) I am thinking about welding some angle iron onto the bottom of the skid plate before I get it put back on.

I picked up the parts tuesday.I worked over time evry day last week, so I didn't get a chance to work on it durring the week. Yesterday I started installing it. I got the arms changed and the torque arm bracket removed from the frame( cuz it is in the way of the steel plate that goes on the inside of the frame) The torque arm is obsalete when you cross over the steering. I also had dis-conected it years ago to improve flex. Any way. The frame is all smoothed out, the holes are drilled and evry thing is prepped and clamped for welding. After I weld it together, I just have to bolt up the steering box and evrything that hooks to it. (all bolt up directly) I am excited to have this done. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I'll try to get some crappy cell phone pics tomorrow.

Got sick so I havent been working on it untill tonight. I was so buisy that I forgot to take pix. The bolting of the box wasn't as smooth as I thaught it would be. I didn't realize that you had to drill the holes in the box bigger. BLA BLA BLA. It is all together now. I am going to add a tranny cooler to the power steering before I add fluid. My wife is getting me the ram and hoses for xmas. So I wonder if I should just wait to add that before adding fluid too. It's only a nother week...

Are those the Magnum studs? I'm sure you know but once you go high steer the arms like to loosen, thats how they break the studs. I want to do the ram too but think I will wait till I can afford the higher volume pump too.?

My extended res. Ram mount on front end. Drag link end of ram. From the side. This pic shows that the tie rod end on the pitman arm hits the leaf spring so after I put the camera away I built some bump stops that hit 3/4'' before it hits.

wow.... too close for my comfort to the oil pan.... least the oil pans are tough. If it needs it, it will clearance itself lol.... i dont think that i will have the problem with the steering arm that you do but im going to use a flat pitman and put my steering box as far forward and level to the frame as i can...
interesting to see because this is the exact parts were using on my friends chev and pos my 4runner...
Did you do anything to the PS pump.. also i understand that its a nite and day difference but would ya really need hydro assist for anything at browns other than the rock gardens n stuff....crossover easier to steer than pushpull?

With a locker in the front, you could always use more power steering. There are 3 things recomended to be done when you do hydro asist (on a toyota at least) Bigger reservor, Cooler, and drill out the restrictor in the pump. The restrictor is the adaptor between the presure hose and the pump. You are suposed to drill it out to 13/64. It only takes a few min. You don't even have to pull the pump. It steers a lot easyer now. Oh ya, I already added bump stops to protect the iol pan and pitman arm.
