Just bought it for the equivalent of $500 (barter) and having to pick it up in Vancouver and tow it back at 40 mph .... haha Has old bald 38 swampers.. Runs and drives, tranny is slipping (he gave me a spare tranny he bought and was putting in) Also gave me a 440 bored .40 over, rebuilt, bent pushrods .. In the truck is 440, headers, duel flowmasters and 4 bbl carb (not sure on make yet) Has huge front bumper 4" Suspension, 3" Body lift Not 100% positive on anything else, Wife wouldn't let me take the Land Rover out and get it all beat up, so I wanted my own toy !

I think he meant they are one inch and a quarter long, 3/8 of an inch thick. The bell housings are thicker then a 1/4" if I remember correctly. Great looking trailduster, if I didn't already have an '89 Ramcharger I'd try to find an older '70's model. The one I have is currently 2wd, but most likely not for long.

Ok tomorrow i'm picking up a 1981 Dodge pickup in mcminnville for $250. Only problem has cracked slant 6....
Going to rip the body off my trailduster and put the pickup cab body on it and put a little flat bed behind it. Shoul be an extremely easy swap. Not-so-easy building the flatbed as I suck at fabricating.
CONSIDERING putting my ramcharger body on the pickup frame and making a drag truck, but then again I really dont want 2 projects, so chances are i'll post it on here for sale in parts or i'll just take it up to scrap and get almost $300 out of it ....
Anything I should look out for ?
I'll be taking off the current body and putting on just a pickup 'cab' ...
Should have the same body mounts right ?

Ok traded the truck and everything for a real clean Chevy Luv 4x4 with lift and nice a/t tires.
Need something that is easy to work on, great mpg and won't be afraid to take on trails or sand.
Will post pictures soon !
