so the 73 has a title? I think you will be happy in the future if you swap the axles from the 76 into the 73. after all you already own them and dont have to buy them. If you happy with the 352? (maybe 351?) then keep it. c-6 is a good trans and they are both divorced cases so no big deal there. I would get the 73 a complete as you can with the 76 then part it out.

ok.... still going to part out the 76..but keep the; brake booster/front axle +it has the lift blocks too and maybe the t-case as an extra drive lines and sell the: Dana 60 rear caddy 500 trubo400 and anything else someone might need....

how good does the 500 caddy run? how much ya want for it. well i do need the $$ to put into the 73, but also need some tires 35/16".. no ta/at's/front tube bumper

so can a guy take a chevy th400 output shaft into a caddy th400 trans and bolt it up to a chev t-case?

Yup, every thing other than the bell housing of the case is the same. I know of several people who have had caddy 472's in mid 70's chevys with married transfer's. Infact caddy tranies are the most likely to have th475 Whitch is a th400 with angle cut planatary gears.

Being i'm waiting for some $$ I stripped the door panels/glove box/all good turn lights-signals and will more then likley try to save the seat too from the 76' Got a bit more sanding and painting done today...] All the orange inside might become black and that red cover will change..lol
