old machinist trick heat and wax!! it's really easy just heat it up shove wax on it, it will turn right out the wax will suck through the threads but you will need to be ready and work fast......

514 ford, I did finely get thoughts broken studs out, thanks for the tip. Ok got all my stuff today splurged on a set of tall valve covers so i can run my nice all aluminum roller rockers I have laying around. mmmmmm shiny I was surprised when I took the valve cover off to take a pic, the motors already got the larger push rods and guide plates. and a set of comp cams roller tip rockers. The heads also have some nice valve seals, to bad all be using all the stuff I already have.

good to see you on here Jeremy, I forgot what was all in it, its alot to absorb in an hour or so, yes its a well built motor even know I did have a rod baring issue, although it was caused by driver error, or should I say abuse. Jeremy you need to come to sb4.

All clean and ready for assembly, degreased it and washed it with the hose and used the leaf blower to dry it. new ARP oil pump shaft. got 4 slugs in..... the crank shaft was not in as good of shape as I remember, but its to late now, polished it up the best I could will see if she holds together. Also the manifold above I ground on a bit to day at work to open up the ports to better match the heads.

the big valve heads were painted black so I went with it. look far left the old cylinder heads 3rd chamber down you can see where the piston was hitting the cylinder head. my helper today almost done and ready to drop in.
