one last pic befor stripping and scraping it. Lifting off the cab with a fork lift It looks like I will be able to remove the engine trany transfers and exaust all in 1 peice and set it into the new frame. At this point it is Unhooking drive lines, trany cooling lines, motor and trany mounts, battery cables and fuel line. Prity quick with no body in the way!!!!

here it is sitting on the floor in front of the frame it came off of. The suburban is behind the wall on the left side of the pic. The 1 ton frame is in the bay on the left of the wall. Me and Brody (almost 4) working the forklift. (he asked for a forklift and blocks for xmas) Do you think he's in heaven?

I cut up the old cab tonight. (lost the title several years ago) It caught on fire and I had to put it out with an extinguisher. Then I started to unbolt the drive trane. Only 4 bolts in the trany mount and 2 bolts in the exaust hangers, and it's out. Then it will go on the other frame. Next will be the front end steering box and rear end. "SOME ACTUAL ASSEMBLY" I still have to tear down the rest of the truck. Remove the fuel cell, batteries, roll bar, rear end, winch power pluge and wire, etc. At least I won't have to dicect the rfame and bed as much.

Today I got the front end out of the old and into the new. It doesn't sound like much, but I had to remove clean up and install my front bumper/ spring perch/crossmember assembly. Jon4runner came and droppedoff my new rear springs tonight. They look awesome. I can't wait to install them next week.

The idea of doing inboard springs in the rear is tempting. Does anyone know of anyone that has done it, and did they like it?

Not a bad idea, but with 63s and inboard? that's a lot of flex your going to have, what if your on a little bit of a side hill, its going to lean a lot. How about just under the frame? I have a set of 59's that I'm going to put under the jimmy. And put them directly under the frame so I don't have to move the gas tank, if all go's to plan.

"Inboard springs" is where you put your springs closer together(inside the frame) for more flex. The hight diference between the springs when they're closer together is a greater angle.
