OK caught me.. actually I will still have a Hybrid. I have committed to buying some axles from Kyle of AA Tire in Woodland. Axles will be.. Front. Toyota with Longfields and hardened hub gears. Gears are 4.88 cryo treated. Includes ARB Air Locker. Rear. A Dana 60 center section on custom length chrome axles in Toyota Tube with quick lock locker and disc brake conversion. This axle set up has been run in his toy with a 500 hp engine for a couple years without fail. Longfields have lifetime warranty. . What is he doing with his truck?? I went to school with Kyle it used to have a 3.8l with miss matched heads if I remember right.

Recieved my new Axles on Sunday 8/2/2009. Rear is a Dana 60. narrowed by cutting it at end of axle tube and grafting the Toyota plate and bearing set up to it. It has chrome molly axles. It has disc brakes from an escolade and a Auburn Track Lock with extra clutch to aid in positive lock up on torque. Front is another Toyota straight axle. Difference is I now have a ARB air locker ( instead of the Aussie ) and I now have Bobby Longfield Axles and Bobby hardend hub gears. Yukon gears have been cryo treated at Bobby Long as well. here is a pic of the new rear. upside down on the roller board in this photo. more to come.

Thats a nice rig. What drive shaft/U joint combo did you use? reason i ask is i have a 89 blazer with toy straight axles also, just trying to find a drive shaft combo that works.

Found a ORD doubler and Triple Shifter on Craigslist.. Bought em. Did some buying and selling and got the 203 I needed and ended up using a different 205 and having my friend Patrick aka Tonka on Pistons Wild rebuild em for me. He owns The Good Guys Auto Repair on 82nd south of Foster in Portland. Here are a couple build pics and the finished unit. Purdy !

Update... Went to Sand Lake on Saturday March 27 with PistonsWild.
and.... I love the Triple Stick... actually never really thought I needed or wanted one.. but I LOVE it.
Climb the bowl in 4 low 4 wheel... get to top.. pull the front drive stick a half notch... now in rear only low range... step on it.. spin it around... Very Fun.
and the double low of the doubler actually got used a few time even at Sand Lake.. makes for slow technical moves ( like crawling up on a log for a poser pic ) .
and the front only.. used that when I got high centered on said log... so I could add a little power to the pull with the front wheels without turning and digging in the rear tires...
Those thinking of double or triple stick,,,, DO IT !
will post a few pics of the truck on this outing shortly. Dave.

Nice work getting it finished up. The doubler/triple stick is on the list of things to-do after getting mine out of the garage and some extra $$ saved up.
