The police here in Forest Grove said its too hard to get good prints off a car. I asked about getting prints off the Mercury that was tagged last Friday night.

i think it depends on of they want the extra paperwork. In newberg they are kinda weird. They took prints for stole cd's but when someone ran into my wife in the pickup and then took off the cops said they probly didnt have insurance anyway and they wouldnt be able to find them so they didnt try? Priorities I guess. I even got ran off the road into the ditch and the same cops said since no physical contact was made between the two rigs that no crime was committed? hmm go figure that. Neighbor calls the cops cause we are wheeling in the driveway and BAM cops are there. suckas couldnt do anything though, cop just looked at what we were doing and shook his head. Oh and once we had someone try to kick in the back door so we called em and guess what............They check me to see if I'm on drugs. fawkers.

Well usually from what I have gathered, the guys that like to steel the Yotas, usually flip them over and burn them. Because they think that there prints would be recovered. I remember I had a car stolen from me and when we found it the cob said that it wasn't a good idea to print the car becauase that the powder that they use was messy and would get into my electronics. I decided to not have them do it, the theives didn't take anything anyways. (weird, it ran out of gas)

Well I don't do fingerprints so I can't give much input but to say there is paper work that goes with it and lazzy cops ( I guess lazzy people are found all jobs ), but some times depending on the situation, weather, sunlight and rain, the chances of getting a fingerprint are greatly effected and it is a judgement call.

From the little bit I know about fingerprinting cars... they can get prints whether its been raining, snowing, hailing sunny whatever. All they need to do is let the car dry. Rain can't really wash of fingerprints... hello fingerprints are left by the oils of your skin... it just doesn't rinse off.... Jeez... don't you guys watch CSI??? It's ALL explained there lol.
Honestly, if you fight to have it taken to the fingerprint level and have the pocket book or the insurance company back you, it should be done. Just remember, they'll lift your prints also so hopefully you have nothing to hide (old drug charges). LOL!
