Most everyone here knows that we adopted 7-up in the TSF trail system. We currently have not spent enough time up there doing work on this trail. I blame nobody but myself. I know you guys help and volunteer every time I post a work party. In the past 12 months I have had some many things added to my plate of things to do (buying a house, my shop closing, baby on the way, personal projects, etc) I feel I cannot represent us adequitly by myself on the trail projects. So what I am looking for is someone that is dedicated to poorboy offroad as well as wheeling to help take over the managment of this trail.
Ultimatly the forestry department is the final say on the trail as a whole. He have a strong voice in suggestions in what we do and are pretty much given a clean slate to do what we can for repairs. What I need is someone to be in contact with ODF along with me and someone that can head up work partys and stay up on current events in TSF. Eventually this person would make all work party plans and coordinate as needed. Pretty much head up the project. I dont plan on stepping away from this but if I have someone involved as deep as I am then work parties could continue regularly and not just around my schedule.
If anyone is interested pm me or post up. I am not gonna just pick the guy with the most posts or first to post. I will have to take alot into consideration as this is our most important and publicly viewed areas of the club. There is no financial compensation for this position. As everyone knows I make no money at this. You dont have to own construction equipment or the biggest 4x4 out there to be good at this job.
You need to have the following 1. working 4x4 2. working internet access 3. good people skills 4. ability to manage work in progress while in the field. 5. record keeping abilities a plus
We dont have to do work parties every month we just need to stay up on the condition of the trail and be able to submit forms to the ODF on work completed or plans for future work. We can do multiple small work days thru out the year or just a couple big ones. there is no set criteria as of now but we do need to get up there more than we have I think.

But unfortanitly I'm not 100% that Melissa and I will be in Oregon very much longer, my uncle had open heart 3or 4 bypass last week and was thinking of selling his biz. He does tile work in AZ. He said he would train me/us and then step back and just do bids ect. We are still just talking and that is such a HUGE step not sure if I want to step out on that branch just yet.

I'd be willing to do it. only real question I have is if we have to attend the meetings on mondays in FG? I live close to it so that's not an issue, but i do work nights so depending on what time they have the meetings i could skew my shift to attend. I have more free time now that the kiddo is in school, so I tend to get a little bored on my days off. mmm.. thanks Marv, i did think about this..... That's cool and it sucks all at the same time. cool that you could get into that, but sucks cuz you won't be around anymore.

Pretty much just kinda plan our next work parties and type up an explanation of what we accomplish each time we work on the trail and send it to the fd.

I know I am still new to this trail and the whole area up there, but I would be willing to do this. I would appriciate someone to give me a little guidance first, lol, you know just to get me going on the right direction - just someone to "walk along" with me for a little bit until I get my footing and confidence. I'd like to learn from the current rep to see what you've done, where you were going with the whole situation, all those little details. I'm single, I've got two (of my own) 4x4's as well as access to others, I am very well organized and I think once I get familiar with the area I could do this even better than I am capable of right now. Or if someone wanted a partner to do all this stuff, you know I'm up for it.

Since I'm the last one to mention all this, does that mean I get the job? I can catch up with you guys after this weekend, after the work party and the work shop in Salem and type up a summery for the FD if that's what you want...?

Will it work to have two trail reps? Both Ashley and Russ? aint you thoughtful and not wanting to hurt any ones feelings. 2 would work but 1 dedicated person would be better. who ever it is needs to be sure they are dedicated to poorboy and willing to stick it out thick or thin.

So Welcome your new 7Up Trail rep: Russ! I will be acting as assistant; in case of emergency where he is unavailable or if he goes on vacation and something needs to be done. I'll be the little tag along, again, lol.
