Obviously Facebook really killed the forum. Know people are busy but it'd be awesome if more updates came back to the Forum.

Yeah, no kidding... I personally don't like facebook but check it now and then, I don't know how to work the stupid thing either since they changed it last... That said, I keep meaning to text you back those blocks would help, will possibly be getting a camper in the near future so I need to drop the truck a couple inches... and will need a front sway bar but that should be easy to find.

Buddy of mine goes there but has no idea the forum exists. The last count I saw over there a long time ago was over 5k members.
There may be a front sway bar on a crew cab at a yard off State street. The 60 has already been canabalized of the steering linkage. Think a locking hub is gone too. Blocks are still under my pick up, if they're not off by the time you need them, I can probably get some cheap or free from another yard I go to.

Yeah, I figure they should be easy to come by at a yard, with my to do list I don't know when I'm going to get to that... I was hoping the Ranger would stay together for a few years, I was finally starting to get some things off the list of projects...

It happens. Your bearing clearances were ok when it was apart?

Yep, ran for over 2 years without an issue... I have a feeling the tractor pull run 2 years ago "might" have stressed things a bit... was pretty violent and quite impressive, especially in the amount of broken stuff involved It was enough power to twist an axle tube, bend a leaf spring, bend and twist the driveshaft, pushed the transfer case hard enough to break the circlip ring in the transfer case for the output bearing and push the engine into the radiator... Traction bars would have stopped all of that though...

Could be a multitude of things. Tearing it down should give you a idea what happened. I've seen small debris from a green roloc bristle disc take down a 15 liter heavy duty engine in literally less then 50 miles unloaded from a gear housing reseal to a truck I just tore down that made it almost 200k with cummins service plugs floating around in the oil galleries and 4 of 6 oil control rings installed up side down. Was puking clouds out of the crank case breather. One of the plugs was intermittently plugging a piston cooler, little end of the rod got pretty warm, cooked oil on the bottom of the piston around the wrist pin and dropped large carbon chunks in the oil. Scored 4 rod bearings, cam idler gear bearing, probably more just haven't gotten authorization for further tear down past pushing the Pistons out and pulling liners. Fun times.
