Was anyone else there? I ran in the stock truck pull yesterday, there were 6 people in my class, one Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0, 2 Jeep Wranglers with 350's, an extended cab Toyota with a 22RE basically stock with 31" mud terrain's, and a older regular cab Toyota with a 22R on probably 36" swampers. Most were in the 150 foot area, the Cherokee got to 203, I got to 226ft... But, at that 226ft mark the rear driveshaft yoke broke (too much axle twisting...), I bent the drivers side main leaf (that side of the axle is pushed about 1/2" forward), and when all that happened the engine moved about 1.5" forward, enough for the fan to kiss the radiator and leak out a bunch of coolant. I drove it home today after removing the shaft, it crab walked a bit and driving this thing with front wheel drive is kinda strange, and with 1/3 of the coolant of normal without a radiator cap it was a little slow going... Me just before staging: Note the driveshaft hanging down, and the coolant puddle Click on this pic for the video, not sure how to imbed with the new photobucket at the moment... Now, with that said, I'm looking for some parts out of an Explorer if anyone has any laying around

My brother found a youtube video of the pull HERE, I'm at about 2:20 on that video, you can see I got enough traction to lift the front drivers side tire...

You had "the first failed part..." Looked fun up until the point of failure. What gear do you start in/hold?

That was first low, for most vehicles unless you are a lot lower than normal that is the best way, a lot of people try running 2nd low which doesn't work, and there is no shifting with 30k pounds skidding behind you

Wow, that's a bit of weight to be tugging. Skipped it this year. Heard there was a couple cummaparts break in the unlimited class.
