Alright so on my last post I had I had aproblem after wheelin. I have no power takin off or just drivin in general. An comin to a stop at a stop light it wants to die until I hit the gas then it idles fine.
I've changed: Plugs Wires Cleaned the carb jets an what not Fuel lines Fuel filter Fuel pump
And the only thing I can think it'd be is the vacuum advanced is getting stuck or is stuck though it's not hooked up
I unhooked the charcoal chanister vacuum lime an ran it into itself an it got better but still the same problem an it's not a vacuum leak we checked that too. Any other ideas?

kinda sounds like a carb going bad. I almost wonder if you don't have a float issue?

I had a similar problem on a Toyota I had. I was up at Mt Hood and it also sucked a lot of gas when it happened. I replaced the stock carburetor with a Webber and it fixed the problem.

i didnt see cap and rotor on your list. if you get a little water in the cap it can cause some issues, if you even have a cap and rotor...

Cap an rotor were fine. Blew out the distributor had a tiny bit of water but still nothing.

i just had some residual water left about a week after wheeling and it was running like crap and after swapping them out made it all better. just a cheaper guess than a carb and tune up parts never hurt

Well I swapped the distributor for a straight mechanical one with now vacuum setup up it idles better but now it kinda cuts out at 2,800 an has no top end power. Wtf?

Lots of variables but how far advanced is your timing.

At 3,000 it's at 38 degrees because of the ported head, intake, an weber

Also I noticed to AFter the trip my vacuum boost gauge was at 22lbs at an idle instead of it being at 25-26
