ha I know it takes to long to pain the pink for that. and doesn't dry very fast. you gotta prime it white then paint pink to make it look right haha. plus chrome why not haha.

Nice work. I'd also suggest mounting the ECU in a plastic Tupperware container or covering it in a plastic bag if you are mounting it in the engine compartment (like seen below). I did mine several years ago and have had no heat issues and it keeps things running better. They even make the lids pink

its actually gettin mounted under the dash on the driver side and I am thinkin about the tupperware deal just cause its convertable and water gets everywhere. and good to know I wanna get another set of doors with the glass just in case. well did a little somethin somethin today. but first I think I said how I had to massage the power steering box to make the winch fit and I took a picture so ou can see By MUDmainac3 at 2012-04-17 I also pulled part of the front clip off so that I can get my battery stuff in. By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 I then drilled holes and bolted the battery trays in so that I can measure for the supports and also use them as a brace for the radiator mount as well By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 I then tossed the battery's in to check the fitment By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 they clear with the hood down so thats good By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-17

ok did a little more work today. I added a vertical brace to the battery box and also braced radiator mount to the battery boxes. By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 I also mounted my power steering cooler and will run the lines in the future. But after looking at the mounts awhile I decided it needed on more brace so I added on on each side. By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 I then build the battery mounts. Both optimas are bad and need replaced I know the one has a hole in the top. It got dropped By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 Well I added my lower steering column mount pretty simple set up just an exhaust clamp welded to the inner fenderwell By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 its pretty tight under the hood with everything. I also ran the dash wires under the hood to the fuse box. By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 I then routed my headlight wires into the tub By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 Inside the tub the wiring looks like a mess right now By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-18 Ok last picture for today is just of the front of the scout. I've been looking at the front and I decided I'm not really sure where I wanna put the turn signals at. So just lookin for an idea

thank you I'm having a chrisis right now I wanna finish this thing up but I found a steal on a 3.4 tacoma motor for my daily 4runner. The 3.0 doesn't have the power I want plus I can tow pretty good with the 3.4. ahhh decisions

ok well did a little work this week in the heat. first off was I cut the inner fenders out a little before By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 after By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 Then I added some supports for my roll cage By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 I also bolted the quarter inch plate on the cage for the lower supports By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 I also added a bar on the passenger side for the start of my seat mounts By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 I also added some toggle switch's and almost completely finished my brake lines By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 I took the top off and decided its off for summer now By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 First weekend in May I'm takin it to my buddies shop so we can finish the roll cage By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 Then tossed some 42'' Iroks on just to see if they clear. looks like I may have to step up By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-23

ok time to rant haha ok been asked multiple times why toyota stuff in my scout and if I have to explain it one more time someones gettin slapped.:flipoff2: Ok here goes 1984 4runner weighs around 3600lbs just averaging what i've found on line on the low side. A 1964 scout 80 was said to weigh around 3100lbs 4 cylinder rig.
So scouts is quite a bit lighter than a 4runner so I think if guys can run 4runners and make them last I should be able to.
Next is why not just do a v8 t350 np205 set up. Well answer I'm cheap I can wheel a 4 cylinder for much less than I can a v8 and I want this thing to be light as possible.
What I've found online is a 327 with cast iron intake carbed runs about 575lbs.
I'll leave it at just that I found that a 2rz tacoma motor is only about 320lbs a w56 toyota transmission is roughly 75lbs, and the dual case set up is about 125lbs so add every thing together and its only 520lbs which is still less than just a small block.
Yes I know I'll never have the power to rip race around but I'm ok with that I'll have gears and not enough power to break to much so I'm ok with that cause I'm pretty cheap haha:flipoff2:
Didn't say anything about one ton axles well cause I'm trying to put some under this pig when I can so there. Thats my rant. Had to many people tell me the toy stuff will never hold up so just had to show I did my research first.
