So the sun actually ended up coming out yesterday afternoon so I decided I was gonna try and get the job done. Unfortunately I didn't have the right size wrench to get the coils off. Everybody I talked to and everything I read said it was 1 1/8th but it was to big. So I'm gonna wait until Saturday and buy the right wrench if I have to. And if the weather is nice enough and it's drives me im gonna see about getting the reAr axle in too.

Got the d35 under the truck and the radius arms are bolted up, but im having a hell of a time getting the pivot arms in place. And well it snowed about an inch this morning so I'm not sure if I'll get it finished today.

I feel your pain. When I did my axle swap in my jeep 2 years ago i did it under a tarp in the snow in my driveway in december. it was miserable!! Glad you ended up with some sun!

I'm having issues getting the rear end done. I don't own a welder and don't know to many people who do. The cousin just switched to tuesday thru saturday shift and he goes to longview on sundays and i work mondays. So I'm not 100% sure when this things gonna get done.

you should use some plywood or something under your jack stands when you use them in gravel or dirt. I have a pair that have a steel plate welded to the bottom that work great.

Yeah, I was being pretty dumb when I did that lol. I forgot i didn't havelimiting straps on anymore and just kept jacking it higher and higher expecting it to get high enough eventually. And the shitty part is that it fell as i was slowly letting it back down after i figured out i needed a jack under the actual axle to make it work haha.

Well I finally got the cousin motivated enough to help me finish this hog. Here is the ol 7.5 The 8.8 under the bronco (i forgot to take any before we put it under there) Shortening the rear drive line and here is how far my tires stick now So after we finished all this up we were getting ready to go for a test run and we needed to put the front Drive shaft on. We though we would be ok because of the amount of lift i have, but it was about 1.5" to long. So we shortened that bad boy up and took it to a close by wheeling spot. Unfortunately the front auto hubs never engaged so I only got to play in 2wd for a little while, a lot of the stuff was definitely 4x4 required. So next on my list is some warn manual hubs, then i just need to start with some cosmetic stuff.

My cousin managed to find some factory ford manual hubs at a pick n pull, and I am now officially 4x4 capable. I hope to go an beat this thing like an orange headed step child today or very soon!

I used to be the same until I had to go to the eye doctor... luckily there was no permanent damage, but that was a really sucky finals week... Glad it's coming together, I'm thinking of going up to TSF before I pull my engine this summer (engine leaks pretty much everywhere), I'll make sure to post up if I go.
