So I should start up a thread to show you guys what I'm doing with my craptastic Bronco II.
So here she is on the day I got it.
Now I'm not sure if you can tell, but the windshield was only being held in by the windshield wipers, the paint job is rattle canned and you can see the paint underneath it in certain patches, and it's orange.
So far it has a 4"(I'm guessing) suspension lift with about 3" of body lift. It has Blocks in the rear. Sitting on some nearly warn out 35x13.5x15 swampers. I don't have any pics of it, but the rear hatch is still the original color and the deal that opens it broke so the genius broke a hole in it so you could just pull on the linkage to open it. It has an 89 front clip.
It currently has the stock dana 28 and 7.5 axles. It has 4.10 gears and the rear has a limited slip according to the previous owner. The front has a blown ring and pinion (thanks for letting me know before I dropped into a hole full of water that was above my 35" tires guy who I got it from...).
All that I have done so far to it was reseal the windshield(still leaks and it's nice and cracked).
MY PLANS:
So I have bought a Dana 35 and an 8.8 from an exploder from Popeye (thanks again!). I ordered some new spring perches and a set of shackles from summit earlier today. I need to get some u bolts made when i figure out the length I need them, and I need to buy some new steering linkage for the front end.
I plan to make some extended radius arms, needs a new rear bumper with PLENTY of tow points. I want to rework the front bumper because only a small portion of it is solid(the sides are just diamond plate welded on).
I need to get a winch.
Could use a fresh coat of rattle can in a color other than orange.
I'm thinking of going with some jeep springs up in the front to make it a bit flexier. Needs new shocks front and rear, but I'm more worried about the rear at this point because they max out before I get much flex.
The rear tire is off the ground. (I lent the swampers to my cousin because he wanted to go to the hang over run ( He bitched out!!!))
That's just about everything I have slated for right now.
Down the road I want to sas it, probably full width with a d60 in the rear and whatever i can get for the front. I want to 3 link the front and 4 link the rear and extend the wheelbase.
I want to either add an exocage or just work a cage into it somehow.
and of course I want to swap in a v8.
