Someone thought it would be cute to swap out the signs at 7up, I went down the triple diamond, thinkin it was the easy one until I hit the very bottom. Already told the authorities and a new sign is on the way, but does anyone have any advice on gettin a high centered rig out? I've got a friend with a winch, maybe jack the truck up level it and try to pull it out?
Any advice would be awesome. Also hello, I'm hutch. I'm new.

According to the sheriff I spoke with its happened once before, and if someone on a quad or bike went through they could get screwed good. Is there a way to make it so the signs are not as easily removed? Either way, yall mind if we toss a few large rocks at the entrance at the top? Its your trail, so if ya say no I'm not gonna fawk with it.
Hopefully if someone goes down they will see the truck and slow wayyy down and turn around.

How far down the rock face is the rig? What size of rig is it?
I think if you could get some larger rocks at the top of the trail it would be fine to place them their as a temporary slow down, or stop warning while your rig is stuck. And we may want to keep the rocks their. The problem has been getting the larger filter rocks up easier 7up trails so we could put a filter at the top of the triple black diamond trail.

In not far down at all, its a full size dodge ram. Neither the truck nor my skill level is right for that trail. As for getting large filter rocks up there, if someone can help me get them into the bed of my truck once its free I'll happily help yall. I actually came up the easy side of 7up, and am fairly sure I could get some big stuff up there. Either way, something needs to be there for safety in case someone pulls this stunt again, next nub might not be so lucky. If anyone wants to have some laughs at a noobs expense I'll be out there at around 12 tomorrow. Look for a midget cursing at a purple truck that is where it doesn't belong

So are you off the face then? down by the trees where most rigs can get to? or are you above the face on the "after trail"? If I dont have to work I will try n get up there with my hi lift winch etc. Welcome to Poorboy, the biggest prob we have with the signs is them getting shot at or stolen.... A filter at both ends would make a huge difference but getting the rosk up there is our biggest prob since the club has to supply the machinery for trail repair, maybe Jamahl can hook us up like some of the other trail?

I'm at where you called the after trail. I tried backing up the trail to the turn around, but I simply slid forward. If you happen to come by that would be fantastic, otherwise maybe I'll see ya around another time. Stealing the signs is a rather shitty thing to do though

@ Rabbit, That has potential to be very very bad for me. Did you see a very dirty light blue/purple truck near there? I called and spoke with people, I don't see why they would have towed it after telling me I was fine as long as I was trying to get it out. If they pulled it, anyone have any Idea where I would get it from? Well, now I'm not sleeping. Mah poor truck

My number is 503-752-6815, I'd appreciate any help rock dawg. Especially if removing it is more difficult then we expect it to be.
Just called sheriff non emergency, apparently I was not the only one who had signs switched on them. A jeep was in the same situation on Wednesday as well, someone took a easy trail marker and put it on a triple diamond trail with no filter. They didn't make it out as well as my friend and I, we just had a long hike. Their report had injury :/ As for my truck, they have no report that its been towed, and its not likely to have been stolen. Kinda a poor choice of trucks to steal, dirty, beat to hell and stuck lol.
And people wonder why off roaders have a bad rep, not all of us are bad, but behavior like that will get some one hurt badly or the trails shut down.
On a related note, if anyone needs help with anything I can do, (tech, basic auto, ect.) let me know, its time to contribute to the karma bucket. Rock Dawg is awesome.
