Hi Everyone, Effective, 08/17/10 (Tuesday), the OHV trails in the Tillamook State Forest will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED due to high fire danger until further notice. OHV activity in the Browns Camp, Jordan Creek, Diamond Mill, and Trask OHV Areas will be limited to operation on maintained forest roads only. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a note or give me a call. Thanks for your help in keeping the Tillamook State Forest fire safe! Stephanie A. hell, if anything, TSF needs a little fire, to open up some more habitat for deer and elk.
Of course im joking.... kinda lol.

Your completely right, a fire or two would help the wildlife more than anything and it could put some people to work.

he didnt say it had to be a big one lol.............or even near our trails.... but fire is beneficial in a lot of ways to habitat... not saying i would want a fire up there either..

Some controlled burns would be a good thing. I'm not sure that logging would be good, as it seems all the logging outfits in Oregon like to strip the entire hillside instead of selective harvest. They also destroy a lot of land with the skidders and other equipment.
Up in Washington around the area I'm from, they do alot of selective harvest with Helo's and drag line. It seems to have appeased the liberal tree huggin whale humpin frog lickin granola chompin sandal wearin nature nuts.
