This wont be much of a build thread, cuz most of the work was done years ago. And i dont have a scanner for all the Film pictures i have of it, when it was still full bodied. Ill try to post pics of things i do to it, from here on out. specs: 1984 k5 blazer 383 stroker, th350, 203/205 doubler with SMW adapter, Triple sticked. d60, 14ff, with detroits and 5:13's 1350 yokes (except for the 1310 double cardan joint on the front of the tcase) driveshafts by Ken at six states, the rear is 1/4 inch thick, Summit 20 gal fuel cell Narrowed front and rear. beard buckets, with crow 5 point harnesses. Cage work was by Jason Wiedhuner, I tried to help where i could when he built it, and learned a few things from him. 39.5 boggers in the rear, TSL's in front. 9500ti winch. Crossover steering, with West Texas hydro assist. thats all i can think of for now... Upgrades on my immediate list are, Longfield weld on beadlocks, 35spline stubs (i have the drive flanges sitting in my tool box, from Rock and Roll offroad) Upgrades in the future, are full hydro steering, and i really want to get rid of the leaves, and link it. Thatll be down the road, i dont know how long

got the engine ready to go back in, bent up some new trans cooler lines. Going to grab some new engine mounts, and hopefully get the motor in today. Got a few more things i want to do before summer bash. Im going to use the old plastic fender wells from my 98 dodge, and put em in the blazer. I want to install my bumpstops, and theres a few more i cant think of right now...

I was looking at a thread on pirate, and someone said something that sparked my memory. The oil pump shaft between the Dist, and the pump, needs to be installed from the bottom. Well i have my engine sitting between the frame rails, trans bolted up, headers bolted up, and engine mounts bolted up I dunno if it would be easier to just pull it back out.... or take the oil pan off to get after, Plus i got a windage tray on there that will have to come off... GODAMNIT While i had it on the stand, i looked at that pump shaft a million times, always thinking "ah hell i can put it in when i get the engine all set in the truck."

Started the engine about an hour ago, and it doesnt sound right...
When i was priming the motor, with a drill, Oil pressure came up. I spun the oil pump and kept the oil pressure at 30-60psi for a couple minutes, i never saw oil spew from the pushrods.
So i figure ill start it up and see if oil sprays from the pushrods while its running. Nothing, not a drop. And it really sounds like the valve train is making noise.
Im pretty sure the lifters should pump up fairly quickly, and the pushrods should be spurting oil.
I only ran it for maybe 30 seconds to a minute, twice. No idea where to go from here...
I tack welded the pick up tube to the pump, 6 quarts of oil including filter. 10W40 napa gold.
when it was running it instantly jumped to 60 psi, and stayed...
Any ideas where i should look?

you did submerg and let the lifters soak in eng. oil at least for a couple of hours before installing them/ the wont pump up by themselvs , just my guess ...good luck PS DID YOU GET YOUR CAM BEARINGS LINED UP RIGHT??
