How hard was it to fit the front end? I have a friend that runs a sammy, and i've been trying to get him to switch over to toyota axels for a while...

i did ALOT of research on bolting that front end up... i was first going to use this kit . . . www.lowrangeoffroad.com/suzuki/samurai/toyota-axle-swap/front-toyota-axle-conversion-kit.htmlbut i couldnt justify the price when i have the skill, i could just make that.. in all reality it was WAY easier than i first thought.... i just drilled the spring pads 3/8" inboard(had to weld a hole shut on the drivers side spring pad) and since he wanted it further forward 1.5" back also. and she bolted in... used the stock toyota square bolts and lower spring plates .... then just fab'd (use that work loosely) up some shock mounts.. not sure if the front hard brake lines are stock but the toyota IFS rubber lines bolted right up

I love this thing, 6 gallons of gas lasts 2 or 3 weeks. I got lower gears, stronger axles and a little higher ride also It drives straighter now than before.

BTW.... anyone planning on doing this.... pinion angle on this is extreamly inportant as the zuki axle is offset and the yota is centered. so the drive line is in a compound angle, and WILL vibrate if set to low or high...

Could've got like an 85-98 rear axle shortened one side an 1.5 moved perches an put the 84 axle in the one side to make the compound angle go away
