got the bottom plate cut.... still not done.. have to raise the mounts so its completely flat on the bottom.. i have a new hatred for cutting metal with a hole saw... killed my dads cheap harbor freight drill press.... had to finish the last (thank god) 2" hole by hand with and 3/8 drill.... just torched the hole for the drain plug lol

well got a little more done tonite.... got the bolts recessed so i can have a flat surface... have 13mm bolt heads that are recessed but if i can find em in my little town i think i will get some allen heads to throw in there... so after the plates it is now Completely flat on the bottom.. need to align it a little better lol here is how i did the risers.... sorta like a budlite

A little time with a grinder and some paint, it would look like you bought it.

yea it isnt perfect but it sure works.... mainly its flat and the factory crossmember is tilted toward the back a little, so the rear mount (which is newer style and heavier duty) is taking most the weight, but its minimal... that and my drain plug hole is just a bit off center but not so much i cant get a socket on it..
I took it up trask last sunday for a shake down. when i did this i pushed the trans prob 1-2 inches higher than stock (guesstimate) so i have some rubbing issues when i have to dump the clutch, just the trans twisting in the tunnel, but its nothing major... that and my new rear driveline when i flex the rear it moves over a bit and rubs the gas tank skid, which is an easy hammer fix....
and yea. i prob need to gusset it some more or add some kind of skid so there isnt as much of a flat edge, but i litterally used up to the last couple of inches of my plate .... thats why the one part on the drivers side that goes up to the frame is nasty on the one side, it had been sitting in the mud for god knows how long (got it for free lol)... need to clean that side up a bit... but i sorta had to rush to get the truck out so i could use the garage...
another thing that sorta bugs me is that this is only 1/4 steel, and i seems all the aftermarket use 3/8... but i guess we will just see as im not going to redo it in the thicker steel....
