Worked on it a little the last 2 nights, got the end of the frame boxed in, the front spring crossmember in and fully welded up, took a couple of leaves out of the front spring packs and started mocking up where I'm going to place the shackle mounts. Yes this will be fully gusseted I'm also going to gusset from the spring hanger to the under side of the frame Now that I have the front crossmember in, I can cut out the under engine crossmember

Your probly going to need some kind of traction device if your pulling leafs Leaf springs were off of 3/4ton chevy and had 6 leaves in them, so they are still pretty stiff, but I'll see when I get it up and going. I'm more worried about the rear then the front. I still may have to add leaves back in if the height isn't where I want it.

You think I should add at least 1 of them back in?

I dont think adding more stock leaves is gonna help alot. I had the best luck when adding a few lift springs. I took the shortest 3 out of my 4" lift pack I think and added those. I may still have some old lift springs laying around. Go ahead and do what your planning but keep an eye on it. I had most of my driveline issues because of wrap issues.

Ok, I think the rear leaves that I have are atleast 2" lifted springs because the truck I got them from was quite tall. The 2 bottom springs are the ones I took out, I can barely get them to budge when I stand on them.

Normanyy the springs that is likt the "middle sized spring" is the one that will keep the wrapping down. The guy at Benz Spring said that you have to think of it like a stair, if that makes sense.

I went back and looked at my pics, I had 8 springs in my pack. I am not sure but the rear springs have more long leafs than short. I added the three short springs from my lift pack to make the "stair" effect. The reason they dont have those shorter leafs is because the pack should have had an overload spring in it that i took out.
