I got the Dana 44 Dissembled and cleaned today. Looking at my options on getting the gears installed, As I have a hole new carrier setup and gears for it. I am going to change out the U-joints on the shafts as they look fairly worn out. I am keeping the rotters and brake assembly's, I am going to change the pads even though they are in good shape.

It has been a while since I posted in this thread about the pathfinder. Today I started pulling out all the IFS at about 1 P.M. Now at 6 the dana 44 is under the front end, I still need to do allot though as the break lines are not ran and I need to find a pitman puller so I can finish the steering, make a drive line, and get the shock towers in. But it is sitting on the axle. It came out about 1" higher then i thought it was going to and about 1/2" further back so I am eather going to have to redrill the spring pin to move it forward or change to shackles to in front, and I will probably make some spacers to bring the back up to the same hight. Now I need to go take a shower and sleep for a week.

good to hear you got somewhere!
on the pitman puller, go rent the one from autozone... $15 deposit is well worth it, that's the one I used on my truck and I was surprised at how strong it was... or just buy it for $15 to have on hand, WAY better than the $10 Harbor Freight POS although they look the same.
