It really sucks about the whole toilet thing is you pay out ALOT of $$ to stay in the campground and get SO little... No electric,No showers, and No dump station.. So they expect the folks to use the porta potty then take it back home with them to dump? Not going to solve much... I think thism is going to make it wores I can handel some one just steping out in the trees to pee. they just had a problem with peeps dumping there wast tanks in the sand if they dont reopen the dump station it is going to be bad in the sand

The waste station is the driveway just before entering the the campground behindcampsites 2 & 3. It has been closed for the last few years.

I'm fine w/the midnight curfew & I'm fine w/the portable toilet. Dumping septics out there is just plain disgusting.

I like the curfew idea, just wish it was a different time span. And the port-a-potty idea is okay, but it doesn't solve the problem of rv's dumping their tanks in the sand.

i hate to see it but being that im a local, this sucks.....guess im taken a 5gal bucket with a seat on it lol.....I camp out in no mans land sooooo im gona get a elec golf cart....lets see em pull me over when they cant hear me coming....... I aint paying money to camp in the sand and NOT crap, in the crappy toilets eerrrrr I have a feeling that these new regulations will either come to one of two things... Either they enforce it and write lots of tickets Or they semi enforce it and just nail the people that don't know anything about it (there own fault if IF it is well posted) A better idea would to be to lower the db level during these times or at least allow quiet vehicles to access the restroom (yet this would be abused) same ole crap (pun not intended) just moving up the coast..... Soo im also assuming that all the places down in the Oregon dunes area that have a curfew are going to start the toilet thing too....

Maybe try to make a political stand and try to make it better rather than just being a nuiscance. Alot of people complained when they banned drinking in the dunes too. look how popular riding in the dunes is now with families. I personally dont want some drunk at 2 am riding through my camp. In past threads This group talks about tread lightly, obey the laws and so on. This is the same thing. Sorry but that is my opinion. I love the dunes and trails and spending time with my family and friends at these places. I will do what I can to keep them open Thank you

Good point Jeremy76. <rant on> The main reason (sited) that allowed this to become a new law was "most problems happen between the time of 12:00 and 6:00AM". It goes back to a few people messing it up for everyone. If people would have obeyed the existing laws, this might not have happened. I for one am not frightened to let people know is it not OK to brake the laws. Heck I have even yelled at people at stop lights for throwing their cigarette butts out the window “Lit or not”. I don’t do this to be an a$$, but I like my camp fires and hate to see trash everywhere. I know the more times people throw a cigarette butt out the window, the more chance of it causing a fire and thus the politicians will try to fix that by creating a new law (not enforcing the existing laws.. Never, thats not what politicians do)…. A law (like thie one) that could affect me…. Like “No camp fires during summer”. <Rant off>
