Finished up what I wanted to get done on the Ramcharger, so with the remaining sunlight thought I'd try fixing my headlights. Total cost was about $2, for some 1600 grit sand paper and a spray bottle from the dollar store. Wet sanded the headlights down, then hit them with a buffer and some rubbing compound. Still could be a little better, but compared to how they were, it's still an improvement. Pics: Passenger side Driver Side After the "polish" Passenger side Driver side

Update to some of the stuff I've done to the truck in the past couple of months... Found out the water pump was leaking the day of the Toy drive/tree run back in December. Couple of weeks later replaced the water pump and thermostat. While I was in there also removed the stock engine driven fan for an electric fan. Bought the fan and controller from Summit. So far it's been working good, keeps the engine just as cool as the engine driven one, and it appears I gained about 15 miles per fill up. Only thing is I now need to get an additional cooler with fan for the transmission to keep it cool since it doesn't have the fan cooling it all the time. After the fan was removed... Old pump removed... New pump installed... Fan and custom shroud I built to hang the washer fluid and antifreeze resevoirs... Don't have any pictures of the final install but actually freed up about 5" of space between the radiator and front of the engine.

Figured it's time to take the 35's off the truck and save some of the tread (and some gas $$). For mud tires they're suprisinly wearing pretty good. Had them on for close to 2 years now, since the 33's were getting low on tread. Bought a tire groover about 6 months ago and decided to try it out on the 33's to get a little more life out of them. 2 tires only have about 1/8" left on the and the other 2 have a little more. Figure with me starting to drive my Bug hoping these will last till next summer. Before grooving the ones with more tread... After the grooving... It was a lot easier grooving the tires then I remember. Then again when I helped my dad do his tires it was usually in the middle of MI winters and I was only a teenager.

It's been gone for awhile now. Think it lasted the winter I got it and it came off. Exhaust is tucked up under the body now. Not sure what the previous owner was thinking.

Since the previous post about my headlights I've done the buff twice, both times it lasted about 6 months before oxidizing again. Decided to get a new set of lights for the truck since working nights it'd be nice to see the road. All these were taken with my phone. Old headlights shining on the road with me backed into my slanted driveway. ...and on the garage door. The bulbs are a "hyper white" with a bluish tint, or they are supposed to be. The condition of the old lights. Since stock ones were way to expensive, bought a set of projector style lights. Light above the cutoff line Below the cutoff Here's the pattern after dark on the garage door ...and on the street same way as before The pattern lights both sides of the street, the closer to the object in front the smaller the beam gets as see in the above photo. Still getting them adjusted correctly so I don't blind oncoming cars. Got them just about dialed in, but still need to play with them a little. Also the bulbs they came with aren't super bright, driving in the fog last night I was able to "outdrive" the light from them. Going to get some brighter bulbs for them.

Going to get H.I.D's for it, but might have to get them online. With my year of truck depending on the ballast the lights will flicker occasionally. There's a fix where you get an adapter with a resistor in it that gets rid of the flicker. The website I was looking at for them has ballasts that are "guaranteed" to not have the flicker issue on Dodges.
That and I need kind of a frankenstein set...need H7 bulbs for the new lights but a 9004 connector for the truck. I'll look the guy up on CL and see what he can do. Thanks for the info!
