If the rain will stay away long enough I might get my steering resivoir mounted. I got it off a wrecked volvo from work. Should hold plenty to make up for the ram.

I got the resivoir mounted. I mounted it the same level as the power steering pump so I can take the cap off either one with out it over flowing. Not sure how it will work when I'm in a hard left turn. Hopefully there will be enough fluid in the pump so it wont squeel. Trial and error, we will see. I can always move it up 3 inches and that would cure it if there is a problem.

I hung a 52" spring just to see how it would look. I figure I will mount the new spring perch so the shackle is hanging straight down and when I put the weight of the truck on it then it should settle back a little.

I'll build me some new front spring hangers. It looks like the factory hanger flexed a lil too much cause it cracked the gusset. Also just eyeballing it I think my factory length driveline from the 1/2 ton will bolt right in. When I put in the d60 I had to shorten the original drive shaft about 1 1/2". So putting a factory one back in might work. I'll find out when it's all bolted back in.

I found a good link on a 52" spring swap. They use the factory hardware by moving it. However if you read thru it they also moved the shackle mount forward. The only reason I can see in doing that would be to run a longer shackle. I dont think Im gonna do that. I'll run the factory location. I can always move the shackle later. www.coloradok5.com/52inchspringswap.shtml

i did clean up the front fender a lil. It was bashed in pretty bad from the waterfall. I didnt do any body work other than hammering. I figure why sand it. Painted over the crap and thru some quick flames on it. It still has the 1 inch gap in front of the door we torched in it at the beach.

I finally installed my volvo bump stops. these should help when at sandlake. If they bottom out to soon I can remove the aluminum spacer and gain 1 1/2" more travel.
