I was all for going until I mapquested "Christmas Valley". 315 miles is a little too far for me. Unless somebody is going and has room on their trailer (or willing to pull a trailer that I can supply) I'd be more than happy to split the fuel cost. Charlie

I gave up on trying to get us to x-mas valley a long time ago, when we were running rails and bugs.

I think that park is down south. I guess it pissed off a bunch of motorcycle riders.

I might be interested in going. I will have to see if my sub is running and broke in by then. I have a 18' trailer, so I don't have enough room for an extra toy unless someone has a large trailer that we could put two of them one? I think my jeep is 12' long.

We forgot something important on our map. How about some directions. Follow Hwy 20 east from Bend for 50 miles. You will pass a rest stop in Brothers. The turn off is exactly 7 miles from Brothers. Take a right onto Frederick Butte Rd. Follow it for 20 miles. You will notice that there are no houses. The first house you come accrossed is it. There will be signs to follow. This area is a cross between "The Crushers" in the Tillamook state forest and Broken Boulder Farm in Goldendale(but not off camber). It will be well worth seeing! If you have any questions feel free to call. Shane 503-730-3263

yeah watch passing through the indian reservations too. i have passed through there many times. they are just looking to make some more money.
i wish i could go, but being as it's already march 8. i am still trying to get my truck together by may 19.
hope another trip gets planned there though. i would love to go.
also Poorboy. a trip to Prineville looks like it would be worth it too. i don't know if you saw the article in petersens about prineville wheeling. i think it was the Feb. 07 issue. i have been through prineville probably 100 times and i never heard of any rock crawling.
just something to think about for the future.
