We need to get up to 7-up to do some work. I want to try and get our back hoe from work so I can do alot of the drain off work.
I kinda want to do a saturday sunday type thing. If I am gonna get the big equipment might as well take advantage of it. So I need people to post that CAN make it.
Equipment needed,
Back hoe- poorboy1 will take care of. trailer for hauling rock possibly 2- truck to pull trailer on trail- smaller front load tractor for loading trailers- shovels-
I plan on camping up there as to not have to haul equipment around. Please post up if you have any of the equipment and CAN make it.
I am thinking October 20 and 21st.
Please post up ideas and suggestions. I really wanted to be on the trail wheeling around this time but I will cancel my trip to do this.
Plan is to work on the 2 easier enterances this trip. There is a bad eroded spot on the rockface enterance but I dont want to mess with that spot yet. Worse case they can close that section this winter if need be.
*************************************************** edit
I will be up there for Saturday ONLY. I will still bring the pickup bed trailer for someone to pull(Pat) and Ray should still be bringing the dump truck with back hoe for me. I will have to get all the digging done saturday. sorry for those who wanted to work both days. Could probly get it to where people could work sunday but there would be no equipment there.

I'm game as long as long as the truck still running right around that time (this bed isn't rusted through either..Camper special as well...so it can haul a bit more weight)

Do you need manual labor? I can help there. Camping EQ. too. Maybe something in the digital world I can help with? Let me know I have finally found this trail and when I feel the truck is worthy I will finally get to try crawl up it. Keep me updated. I dont currently have a trailer or tractor sorry.

that would be great Kevin. I was thinking about that last night. If you can grab a handfull to bring to the trail that would be great.
Hopefully someone will post up a small front loader tractor. It would only be needed down on the gravel; road to load trailers. I will also bring a trailer but someone will need to take it up the trail I wont be able to do it with our ford. It wont have to go up the same way we did last time. That was pretty tough for my truck to do and dont expect anyone to do that. They can gor the eay trail up and back down as far as they want to dump. The back hoe will do the rest.
I am gonna get with Ridgerunner and see if he will tow the backhoe up so I can take the trailer myself(he likes driving dump trucks anyway).
As for manual labor I am sure some will be needed. I dont expect anyone to bust their back digging holes but the finishing touches on the drains and rolling dips will most likely need to be done by hand. If nothing else people will be needed at the ends of the trail to detour any traffic wanting to use the trail that day. Most likely we will need to close the trail while we are working n it. It will take level headed non temper type of people to tell trail riders they need to go around and try to defuse any upset wheeler/riders.

The road through Lydia is still closed I believe ( to the right just outta the camp) That is/was the shortest way to 7-up.

Yes the road was still closed a couple weeks ago when I was last up there.
Also they are doing logging around 7up and the main road was starting to look bad. I would not advise anyone to drive a car up for heights reasons.
