Looking for a M5OD-R1 or R2 5 speed transmission out of a ranger/explorer/navajo/b4000 4.0L 4x4. cant use a 2wd one, well, i could but i don't want to tear it apart to swap output shafts. Can not be one from behind a 5.0L, the 4.9L straight 6 or a 3.0L. Having a really hard time finding one that's good. if anyone has a lead on one i would really appreciate it.

What's it doing? Those don't fail all that often... they also aren't all that hard to rebuild.
If it helps any, it can also come from a 2.9L Ranger, the 2.9L trannies have lower 1-3 gear ratio's and the same bell pattern as the 4.0L. The M5OD behind a 2.9L isn't all that common, but they come up in the '90-92 models (last years for the 2.9L)
That said, I'll try to keep a lookout

it's just hammered. bought it from a guy who's 17 year old son drove it. he took it to a jiffy lube and had the fluids changed, they put 90 weight gear oil in it instead of atf. then when it got hard to shift he just hammered it into gear instead of telling his dad something was going on. basicly the syncros are gone and some of the gears have chipped teeth, shift forks are worn out and one rail is bent. pretty awesome.
