Pass. Find a 86/87-91Kphp. You need the factory track bar as well if you drive said truck on the street unless you have a death wish.

Well too late. Lol guess ill have to do a little extra work. 360 bucks seemed like a good deal. Think I can make a track bar? Seems somewhat simple? Sounds like you've been they it.

Since you bought it I'd use the link Bill posted or the dana 60 bible and ID which 60 you have. Might not be worth putting any effort into it. On older trucks, the spring pads and closer together. So your going to have to mod those as well as the track bar. Not saying it's a huge deal just to consider which one you have, if it's worth modding to fit vs getting the bolt in king pin high pinion. I've heard with a rsk the track bar isn't needed but I haven't done it yet, can attest to just having shot shackle/spring bushings along with shot track bar bushings = unpredictable ride, lots of wandering.

Yea I measured the pads today. Sure enough I'll have to cut and move a spring pad. Not the end of the world I guess. Yea defiantly not the optimal choice but was in my budget so I guess I'll see how it holds compared to my shattered ttb I was told it had 35 spline shafts? Ill open it up after Xmas I guess to see if that's correct, or if he's wrong and I have a 30/19 ill hope for the 35 lol

being a 72' im believe that is a low pinion closed knuckle axle with drum brakes and that was the reason it was so cheap, im not sure if the inner shaft are 35 spline, personally i would look 87-91 like leland said because its almost bolt in plus its has better non- neck down shafts, disk brakes and hp just my 2cents

Sooo it will have to do. It's just a farm rig that will play every once in a while ( start where you are, use what you have, do what you can )
