Started bucking and popping again so re-checked the valves. Only re-set couple valves and checked the timing, it seemed a little advanced so I backed it off and it seemed to help, could actually go wot without it falling on its face but driving up to work it started bucking again. I noticed while timing it was jumping around. Kinda wondering what kind of shape my 009 is in, I guess I'll swap the vac/mech advance and see if it helps.

The 009 gets a bad rep for doing exactly what you're describing. You have to match the carb with the distributor due to the flat spot the 009 has. If you don't you need to run rich for it to go away.

I think to a degree the problem is improper timing and maybe the 009. Couldn't smell it before but sure did on the way home tonight, fuel line has a small rupture between the electric pump and hard line in the pan. The bucking and popping got real bad tonight but made it home. I have a sand seal degree pulley, I'm thinking about on my day off lining up the key ways and transfer some lines so I have a idea of how advanced it is and still going to swap the dizzy, also going to plumb both manifold vacuum ports together to equalize them for better idle quality or supposedly it's supposed to.

What a poopy night. First the wipers seized on the 205 then a rear tire blows out going around the corner from the park way to commercial and had to limp it home to west Salem cause I haven't found a spare yet.

not too much collateral damage, drug the muffler a couple times and the wheel has a couple nicks but poop happens. The very next day on the first trailer of the day both cross bars snap off on my creeper. All I could do is laugh

So the the trans axle started screeching and popping, drained the fluid and got some nice big silver flakes from the drain plug under the diff. If any one has a good transaxle for under 200$ I'm looking for one.
