Picked up my new tow rig today. Best Valentines day gift ever. 2006 Dodge 3500 5.9L Cummins 6-speed manual. This thing is a beast. I was looking for a Chevy Duramax, but just couldn't pass this up.

Ya, it's amazing how it take off from a lug. Torque! Now I got to change out the gooseneck for a fith wheel hitch. Think I'll be pushing 45+ feet long with the truck and trailer.

Nice truck looks almost identical to mine. Does it have a chip or any thing on it.

As far as I know it's all stock, but doesn't seem to be lacking any power. I like the 6-speed. Take off in second skip third to fourth then to sixth no problem.

My pleasure.
Ramboy, do you know much about the clutches? This truck has 127K mile on it and I don't know the history. Would be nice to have it checked out to make sure it's still in good shape so I don't get stranded somewhere.

The stock Clutches on those are not very good. My wifes dad just got his replaced at 115 k and he only hauls with his truck like three times a year. Does not hurt to check

I'm surprised as I heard these trucks are almost bullet proof. I'll have to check into it.

My emergency brake does not work and figured it needed adjustment or pads. The truck has rear disk brakes and the emergency brakes are shoes that are inside the brake rotor. Found out the passenger side brake caliper bracket lug that holds the emergency brake shoes in place was sheared off and someone had taken all the emergency brake parts off, so there's nothing there. Called Dodge and they said that that caliper bracket is on back order and I am about 260th person in line to get the part. I need to see if there's a recall. I would think having a safety issue like this that Dodge would be taking care of this.
